I have been reading James Hollis (again!). His book 'Living with borrowed dust" has brought home to me the importance of self-reflection, taking time to work through what I have been feeling, thinking and doing in recent days and weeks, and trying to be present in the moment and not thinking too much about the 'next thing' I need / want / have to do. Hollis is now in his 80s, experiencing ill health, but manages to convey beatifully the essence of what it is to be human, delving into the nature of our soul and psyche in order to promote self-awareness and personal growth...

Also, I read this morning a piece about realising when our behaviour(s) might not be serving us as we assumed.
Viktor Frankl, Alfred Adler, and Alan Watts approached life from very different intellectual traditions, but they repeatedly challenged the same human tendency.
